Think Of Your Audience -Do They Want To Be Successful

Who is in the audience?
What are their problems?
What are the solutions?
What are they proud of?

A comedian gave his usual comedy turn to a group of self-made businessman. He told them people picked on him because he was small and he always failed at everything. His speech did not succeed.  They did not identify with failures nor with people who were proud of being failures.

A better classic speech, for any group with hopes and aspirations, a keynote speech to inspire students or those in business, or seeking to invest, would start out with the speaker being a success, then telling all his setbacks, disasters, how he overcame each one, but ended up in worse trouble. oending up with his being a success.
